Philadelphia, July 5 - 11, 2009

We will fly to the "City of Brotherly Love" this summer for a week of urban ministry that will take us out of our comfort zone and give us new ways to see and experience God.

In Philadelphia, we will call the parish of Trinity Church in Ambler, PA our home. We will be serving people in Chester, PA through the ministries of St Mary's parish. The plan is to spend the each morning learning about issues of social justice, poverty, and discrimination, and working with a particular ministry in Chester (one of the poorest cities in Pennsylvania).

At the end of the day, we will head home to Trinity and use the nearby swim club for showers and swimming before dinner. Dinner will be provided each night by the families of Trinity Parish.

We are partnering in this mission with St Margaret of Scotland's youth group and Jackie Hartley, their youth minister.
